Artists of the month (April)
 

Birchwood Pride! 263 canvasses were painted across the kindergarten/Grade 1 wall at Birchwood elementary giving each student in Grades 1 to 6 a space to paint their own masterpiece. Brazilian artist Marcio Melo sketched birch tree seasonal forest scenes above the canvasses and volunteer parents filled the leaves in with different colours to represent the murals four-season theme.
